The Easter period is widely acknowledged as a time for miracles to unfold before one’s own eyes. However, for sporting fanatics, this 2020 Easter weekend was a somewhat different affair. Coronavirus has brought professional sport to a complete standstill across all disciplines and geographies. With these cancellations, fans are left anxiously waiting for their next dose of thrilling entertainment and what a shame that is! Thinking back to this time last year, who could forget that late Sunday night on April 14th? Eyes glued to Augusta as Tiger Woods kept Johnson, Koepka and Schauffele at arm’s length. On the picturesque 18th in the glistening sunshine, two-putts would be enough. Sports fans were never in doubt. The job was done. The return to glory. The miracle was complete.
