‘Lights out and away we go’… It seems like a lifetime since we heard those magical words echoing through our screens; that cacophony of sound which seemingly brought so much joy and tense excitement to the living room. Yet what is next for the world of Formula 1? Some may argue that due to the inevitable financial crisis, the abundant horror of what questionably commands the second most funded sport in the world may lead to its disastrous decline. Others may await a drastic neutralizing change from its excessive polluting footprint exceeding more than 250,000 tonnes of carbon emissions each year. However, for me and the many F1 fanatics out there our uniquely scintillating weekend experiences have merely just taken a momentary pause; for the future is wondrously bright for this remarkable sport.
